Matt Green - Rapping science Teacher

Challenge.

Matt Green is a science teacher with a twist — he raps. He came to me with a simple but powerful idea: turn his lessons into short-form videos for TikTok and YouTube, blending his passion for science with his talent for rhyme. The goal was to make learning stick by tapping into something we all know intuitively — it's easier to remember a fact when it's set to a beat. We needed to help Matt bring that idea to life in a way that felt authentic to him, worked with short-form platform algorithms, and actually helped students learn.

Solution.

I worked with Matt to develop a video format built for speed, clarity, and rewatchability — because the best educational content on TikTok and YouTube isn't just informative, it's the kind of thing you watch three times before it sinks in. Every video pairs a punchy science concept with an original rap verse, shot and edited to match the pace and style of the platforms it lives on. The focus stayed on Matt's voice and personality throughout — the goal was to amplify what already made him engaging, not to package him into something generic.

Results.

After a handful of videos, a clear pattern emerged in what made people stop scrolling and start listening — and once we found it, we leaned in. The response was immediate: students sharing videos with each other, teachers using them in class, and comment sections full of people saying the rap helped a concept finally click.

That momentum has since turned Matt into an award-winning TikTok educator — proof that science and rap aren't just a fun combination, but a genuinely effective way to teach.
