The Festival Crowd Logo Project
Festival Crowd — Logo Design
The Challenge
Festival Crowd needed a logo that could speak directly to its audience — young, independent travellers looking for a brand that felt like it belonged to them, not a generic travel company. The mark had to capture something harder to pin down than a service or a destination: a feeling. It needed to read as fun, youthful and energetic at a glance, and work just as well as a small app icon or social media avatar as it would on merchandise or festival signage.
The Solution
The concept centres on the "rock on" hand gesture — an instantly recognisable symbol of music, festivals and letting loose. Rather than illustrating it literally, the design cleverly outlines part of the thumb to form the letter "F," folding the brand's initial directly into the gesture itself so the mark works as both symbol and wordmark in one.
Tilting the hand off-axis gives the whole logo a sense of motion, as if it's caught mid-gesture rather than posed and static — reinforcing the energy and spontaneity the brand is built on. A bright, punchy colour palette finishes the effect, giving the mark the same buzz and vibrancy as the festivals and travel experiences it represents.
The Result
The final logo gives Festival Crowd an identity that's immediately at home in youth travel and festival culture — playful and energetic without feeling childish, and distinctive enough to stand out on a wristband, a t-shirt, or a phone screen. It doesn't just represent the brand; it captures the feeling of the experience it's selling.
